WHAT IS A
CONSULT?
A Video Consult is a live, one-to-one video call with Phillip. It's not a formal coaching session — it's a conversation. You bring the questions, the concerns, the things that have been bugging you about your game, and we talk them through together.
There's no script and no set agenda. Some players come with very specific technical questions. Others want to talk about tactics, match mindset, or how to structure their training. Whatever is most useful to you is what we focus on.
If you want to share footage during the call and discuss it together, that's fine too — just let me know in advance.

You'll get more from the call if you've thought about what you want to discuss beforehand. Here are some examples of what players have brought to previous consults:
- A specific shot or pattern you're struggling with
- A player you find difficult to beat and why
- Questions about your training structure or practice habits
- Confusion about a rule or tactical concept
- General questions about squash improvement at club level
- Footage of a match you want to talk through together
You don't need to have everything figured out in advance. If you're not sure where to start, just say so — that's a perfectly good place to begin.

The Process

WORKS
You send an email to [email protected] with a brief description of what you'd like to discuss and whether you prefer 30 or 60 minutes.
We agree a date and time that works for both of us.
I send you a Stripe payment link for the agreed amount.
You complete payment and confirm your preferred platform — Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, Jitsi Meet, or Whereby.
We meet at the agreed time and have the call.
You follow up by email with any further questions — I'm happy to help.

Use whichever platform you're most comfortable with. All of the following work well for a video call:
Jitsi Meet and Whereby are both browser-based — no download required and both are privacy-friendly European options. Just let me know your preference when you get in touch.

FAQ
What level of player is this for?
Any level. Whether you're a complete beginner trying to make sense of the game or a competitive club player working on specific aspects of your squash, a consult can be useful. The conversation adapts to you.
Do I need to prepare anything in advance?
Not formally. It helps to have a rough idea of what you want to discuss, but it's not required. If you're not sure where to start, just say so in your initial email and we can shape the agenda together.
Can I bring footage to discuss?
Yes. If you want to share a video during the call, let me know in advance so we can plan the time accordingly. This works best for the 60-minute option.
Is this the same as a Performance Review?
No. A Performance Review is a recorded analysis of your match footage that I deliver as a private video. A Video Consult is a live conversation — no formal analysis, no written report. They complement each other well but serve different purposes.
What happens if we run over time?
I'll always flag when we're approaching the end of the agreed time. If you'd like to continue, we can arrange a follow-up session.
Can I ask follow-up questions after the call?
Yes — follow-up questions by email are welcome and included. I can't promise an immediate response but I will reply.
When do I pay?
After we've agreed a date and time, I'll send you a Stripe payment link. Payment is required before the call takes place.
