A challenge without a purpose is just hard work.

SOLO. PAIRS.
CONDITION. FITNESS.
MINDSET. MATCH.

01

Solo Drill

A challenge you can complete alone on court. Focuses on consistency, technique, and mental discipline under self-imposed pressure.

02

Pairs' Drill

A cooperative or competitive challenge for two players. Develops shot quality, court movement, and reading your opponent's patterns.

03

Condition Game

A modified game with specific rules that force you to think and play differently. The perfect way to change a deeply ingrained pattern habit.

04

Fitness

Your physical conditioning plays a huge role in your squash success. These challenges focus on lesser known aspects of your body.

05

Mindset

Possibly the biggest difference between committed amateurs and recreational players. To play your best, you have to think your best.

06

Match Play

Time to bring it all together. These challenges will help you turn training into results.

FAQ

What level of player are the challenges for? +

The challenges are designed for club players of all levels. Each challenge has four progressions — Start, Refine, Optimise, and Master — so you can work at the level that suits you and push further as you improve. Complete beginners may find some challenges difficult, but most can be adapted.

How many challenges do I receive each month? +

You receive six challenges per month, one for each area: Solo Drill, Pairs' Drill, Condition Game, Match Play, Fitness and Mindset. Each has a specific purpose and four progressions to guide your development.

Is it a subscription? +

No, you pay once for one set of 12 monthly PDF challenge sheets. Details of the exact price will be confirmed at launch. You can register your interest now to be notified first.

Do I need a partner for all the challenges? +

No. Three of the six challenges, solo drill, fitness and mindset, are completed alone. The Pairs' Drill, Condition Game and Match Play require a partner, but these are clearly labelled so you can plan your sessions accordingly.

What is the Discord server for? +

The Discord server is where challenge users discuss their progress, ask questions, and share observations. They do this with Phillip and other challenge users. There are dedicated channels for each challenge set. I also post specific questions to encourage deeper thinking about each challenge — for example, what you learned, how it affected your game, and what you would change.

Can I join partway through the year? +

Yes. You start at month one, and receive all 12 PDF sheets throughout the rest of your year.

What do the four progressions mean? +

Each challenge has four progressions: Start, Refine, Optimise, and Master. These are guides, not strict levels. Use them to set fair but challenging targets for yourself and adjust as needed based on your own ability and commitment.

When will the programme launch? +

A launch date has not yet been confirmed. But I hope around late 2026. Register your interest and you'll be the first to know. A free sample challenge sheet is available to download right now so you can try the format before the programme goes live.
