FAQ
What type of feedback will I receive?
I focus on two areas: tactical and technical. I highlight the tactical mistakes you made, but also what you did well. I then talk about any technical issues and how they affect your shot selection and movement.
Do I need to send a competitive match, or can it be practice footage?
A competitive match gives the most useful footage — you play differently under pressure, and that's where the most revealing patterns appear. Practice footage can be analysed but will give less insight into your real game.
Do I need permission from my opponent to record?
I don't require proof, but I strongly suggest asking your opponent beforehand and letting them know it will be used for analysis. In my experience, opponents rarely refuse.
Can I use a mobile phone to record?
Yes. I've received many mobile phone recordings and they've worked well. The quality depends on your phone and where you position it — ideally elevated and centred at the back of the court.
English is not my first language. Can I still use the service?
Absolutely. If English isn't your first language, please mention it when you send your footage and I'll speak more slowly, use clearer language, and avoid idioms.
I am a junior player. Can I use this service?
Yes, but all contact and communication must go through a parent or guardian.
After the analysis, will I be able to beat my arch-nemesis?
Possibly — especially if your video is of a match against them. If so, tell me when you submit your footage and I'll focus on countering their strengths and exploiting their weaknesses as well as improving your overall game.
