DRILLS MENU

INTRODUCTION

A "drill" is practice of a single shot or combination of shots. A "routine" is a combination of drills. Going onto court with no plan or idea of what you should do can be a waste of time.

Having fixed-time routines makes your time on court more effective, more fun and makes the time go faster. Try one of the routines below and see the benefit.

Each routine has a downloadable poster and associated video.


SOLO PRACTICE ROUTINE 01 - BetterSquash

THE ESSENTIALS: SPR-01

OVERVIEW
This is a general solo skills routine that works on accuracy and power. Features a repeated core drill of side-to-side followed by 5 different drills, packaged into a mega set routine.

BENEFITS
- Improves accuracy.
- Improves power.
- Improves swing and timing.
- Improves fitness.

PREREQUISITES & TARGET AUDIENCE
- Good club-player standard
- Watched and practiced the side-to-side video and able to do at least 10 with no mistakes.

TIME REQUIRED
20 to 60 mins per Mega set (adjust according to your standard and goals)

SOLO PRACTICE ROUTINE 02 - BetterSquash

THE DOUBLE CROSS: SPR-02

OVERVIEW
It's a routine for getting comfortable with changing heights on the frontwall. You start low, go high and then low again.
